Have you ever heard about an amazing product and thought, "I need that!"? You get excited, make the purchase, and then... the excitement fades.
The item gets tucked away on a shelf, and you tell yourself, "I'll start tomorrow." Sound familiar?

It could be a book you want to read, a health hack that promises great results, or a program to organize your life, improve your exercise, diet, mindset, or memory—the list is endless!
We live in a society that constantly pushes for perfection—whether it's in our appearance, health, career, or wealth. There’s always a product or service to buy that promises to help you achieve it.
It’s exhausting!
And it can take a toll on your self-esteem, making you think, "This will make me better" or "This will help me reach my goal."

I recently learned about a practice that President Ronald Reagan used, and I think it’s brilliant.
He would take 24 hours before responding to any request.
That’s wisdom! It gives time to let the request simmer in your mind, considering possible outcomes.
There’s so much noise in our lives today, and it contributes to stress and anxiety—feelings that can truly make us sick!

So, I have a challenge for you:
How about waiting 24 hours before responding to that email, text, or social media post, or before buying that next “must-have” item?
In the meantime, while you are thinking, check this out! A classic from Dinah Washington.
Yes, I know it's a love song, but just go with it!
“What a difference a day made
Twenty-four little hours
Brought the sun and the flowers
Mm, where there used to be rain…”
